The Stickman (Mark Stickley) put on a well-organized, family-themed event that was enjoyed by all. (The Webmaster had a good time, anyway.) Awards were given out after the race to the fastest two-person family teams, and it was no surprise that Riemenschneiders, Neal & Ruth, were the fastest family overall. Also raking in the awards were the youthful Bayne siblings, Ryan, Robin, and Brandon, who swept the Brother/Sister and Brother/Brother divisions. The Family Run also featured the running return of those wacky guys Mark Vann (who will be unretiring again!) and Karsten Brown (who is patiently waiting for a stress fracture to heal). Mark & Kar blabbed on and on during the first mile of the race about how out of shape they were, annoying Jim Shaughnessy tremendously. Then the young Brown came from behind and outkicked Mr. Shaughnessy in the last hundred yards, thereby depriving Jim of a point or two in his ongoing battle with Bill Senseney. Sorry Jim!
